This company is awesome. They just installed a 14KW system and it was incredibly smooth from start to finish. They did not give any high pressure sales pitch and answered all our questions in a straight forward and timely manner. They were great at getting back to us quickly if I left any message and kept us up to date on the permit process which is what takes the most time (about 6 weeks for us in Portland). Once the permit was issued , they had an installation crew out within 24 hours who were extremely organized. I have been around building and contractors most of my life and I could tell these guys knew what they were doing. It is a bit scary these days with a lot of solar companies going under but this company is very solid. I would highly recommend them without hesitation.

We recently bought a home that had existing solar but not having past experience with the system, we were never able to figure out why it wasn’t producing any power. When Green Ridge Solar stepped in they were able to quickly figure out what the issue was and went above and beyond getting the replacement part. They had it installed and up and running in no time. Very professional. We would definitely recommend.

Contacted Green Ridge Solar because we had a missing shingle and had to have a panel removed for the roofers to do repairs. Green Ridge was able to remove the panel and their electrician Daniel was upfront honest and professional! I worked with Sarah in the office and she was able to explain issues that were discovered during their service, Daniel showed me the pictures and Sarah gave us the estimates. Overall Green Ridge Solar has been great and more helpful than the solar company that installed the panels in the first place. I would recommend Green Ridge Solar to anyone that is interested in taking the leap into renewable energy!

Green Ridge Solar installed our system in November of 2023 after we evaluated several companies. Green Ridge treated us well from the start. The system size they recommended was more competitive than others who wanted to sell us larger systems. We’ve now had more than two full years of operation and the system has provided the power our home needed, affirming Green Ridge’s design and recommendation. The team at Green Ridge has been amazing. From the intial consultation with Zach (he answered about 100 questions, always quick to respond) to the pre-site analysis, install date and final inspections- they have been flat-out professional. This process started with initial deposit 8/29/25, and I just powered the system on today, 10/22/25- just about 7 weeks start to finish. Their system of communication is pretty great- I heard from various people as the process unfolded, and they made sure to notify me of communication from my utility company (Pacific Power) to sign off on the net-metering agreement. At one point, Emma pulled Brian (one of the owners) onto a call to answer some specific questions I had about permitting. They were always quick to respond, and demonstrated expertise every step of the way- which eased any concerns I had about the process. Feel confident that they are knowledgeable, trustworthy and professional- I highly recommend GR Solar 🙌🏻

Green Ridge Solar did an outstanding job on our solar and electrical project. Caroline started working with me in early 2024 (so for about 1-1/2 years) and was persistent (and so personable) in finding a solution that would work for us. Our job was complex which required me to coordinate between PGE and Green Ridge. I pushed for a lot and Green Ridge came through with above and beyond work and financial incentives. The entire team exceeded expectations in terms of the work done and the solar/battery product with our electrical lines buried on our property. Although everyone that worked on the onsite installation with Green Ridge was excellent and professional, Dylan Smith and Greg did an outstanding job on the electrical work. We have an old property with the previous owner doing a lot of DIY work. It was not easy to track what was happening with our current set-up. They asked us questions, consulted with us, and did an overall excellent professional job on our electric work. Scott Graham at PGE also was excellent to work with from the first time he came on our property (about 2 years ago) to talk about getting our lines buried. Everyone I worked with was also top-notch and communicated very well with me. We are thrilled to say that in the four days since we have had our solar up and running, we have produced 500 kWh of energy. In the month of August, we have used 736 kWh month-to-date. That means in about a week, we will have produced the energy we consumed in a month. That exceeds any expectations we had of the production we would get. Thank you, thank you to all that worked to produce this excellent product. I am hoping that the tax credits will come back with a new administration in the future which will help more people install solar power and use Green Ridge. We are not usually delighted at the end of a project but this time we are.

I'm incredibly impressed with the team.  Everyone was professional, efficient, and pleasant to be around.  We've had work done at the house before, and the team is night-and-day more professional than anyone else we've worked with.  Even my wife said "I know this is weird to say, but what's the catch?  These guys seem too good" The team was installing a new hybrid battery/inverter from Savant that wasn't what they were used to, but learned its quirks super quickly, and the job was finished in the two days that were promised. I've already started telling my neighbors to book with them.

With the impending reduction of tax credits for solar energy installations in December 2025, we decided to explore adding solar to our system. We contacted Energy Trust of Oregon to have them solicit companies to offer proposals. (This was because we trusted Energy Trust of Oregon to vouch for reputable solar companies.) We were initially contacted by only one company, Green Ridge Solar, and arranged a meeting to hear what they had to say. We met with Caroline Barnes, an Energy Consultant with Green Ridge Solar, and she provided a wealth of information about the company, solar panels, solar systems, and how they can work together to meet our electrical energy needs while helping to protect the environment. A technician visited our location to assess it and take measurements, which would be used to properly size our system to meet our stated requirements. A proposal was prepared showing the size of the system (13.4 Kw), the number of panels (30) and their installed location, and, of course, the costs, including; total cost, incentives, tax credits, and ongoing costs—allowing for the net metering credits from PGE we would generate when our usage was less than what was generated and fed back to the PGE grid. Once we agreed to the proposal, our installation was scheduled. Green Ridge Solar handled the permitting process and all other necessary requirements to complete the project. At this point, we are waiting for PGE to complete the final step of swapping our electrical meter for a two-way net metering one and provide approval to initiate the system, which is expected to occur later this week. Throughout this entire process, which began on June 4th with our meeting with Caroline Barnes, everyone we dealt with at Green Ridge Solar has been terrific. Questions have been answered, and information has been presented in a professional and informative manner. We couldn’t be happier with our interactions with Green Ridge Solar. Thank you to all the employees of Green Ridge Solar, especially: Caroline Barnes, Ian Berrios, Cole Austin, Kristen Clark, Emma Purice, Jason Davis, and Nick Dalpias. You made this an exciting and enjoyable experience.

I started getting ground faults on my solar array. I reached out to the company that I had originally bought the panels from and they are no longer in Oregon and quoted me for an inspection fee of around $500. I ended up calling Green Ridge and the inspection fee was half of that. They found multiple squirrel infestations under the panels and the squirrel's had chewed through the wiring of the solar array and had tried to chew into my roof. They sent photos. I could go on and on. I just want to say that they worked with me in a very professional way helping me get the issues fixed, helping me prevent a further problem with the squirrels etc. The technicians were fantastic. This is a great company and I appreciate them helping fix a pretty complex issue at my house.
